"My name is Steve Dawson. I’m a Building Envelope Specialist with Dow Building Solutions. Today we’re here in Broomfield, Colorado installing our THERMAX™ (ci) Exterior Insulation Wall System on a school project. We’re using our THERMAX™ (ci) Exterior Polyiso Insulation with our LIQUIDARMOR™ Flashing & Sealant to provide the air and water barrier for this system. In addition were using a two pound closed cell polyurethane foam on the back side to provide redundancy and additional air control. We’re putting the THERMAX™ (ci) Exterior Insulation up today with the Rodenhouse Thermal-Grip® washer. We chose the Rodenhouse washer system for this project because we can pre-spot these washers and then come back and install the fasteners separately. It speeds up the installation. In addition, these washers do not need any additional flashing to insure that they are water and air tight. Dow has tested this system, and the contractor really loves that benefit because it saves them time and money on the installation. This project is being dried in well ahead of schedule due to the benefits of the THERMAX™ (ci) Exterior Insulation Wall System going directly against the steel studs and the combination of the Rodenhouse Thermal-Grip® washer."
